At Mendicity we provide clean clothing, underwear, jackets and shoes to our clients. As the vast majority of our clients are male, we only take in items for men. Christmas Tree Removal

Christmas Tree Removal

Our Christmas tree removal service has now finished and was very successful. In total we collected 517 trees and responded to over 2000 text messages over 15 days. The funds raised will be used in the provision of our food and day services. Thank you to all who donated and volunteered. We’ll be back again in January 2022

We’re still providing contactless delivery within the Dublin area, of our wonderful handmade products, all made by Dublin’s homeless. Products include window boxes, stools and framed copper art. During the 8th – 14th June Mendicity carried out its annual census among 123 of our regular clients. The results demonstrate that the circumstances of our clients have worsened over the past 12 months, as more are sleeping outside and many have struggled to access the services they needed during the Covid-19 crisis. Earlier this year in June, we carried out an anonymous census survey amongst our clients, to better understand their circumstances. We asked questions such as their age group, the length of time they are homeless, nationality and whether or not they have any income. We’re recruiting a team of volunteers to assist with our Evening Free Phone service. We offer support to those using the Free Phone on daily basis, who call at 4:30 pm every day. THREADS Exhibition for First Fortnight @ Mendicity

As part of the First Fortnight Festival #FFEurope, we are delighted to invite you for our very special event.
