The Mendicity Institution is fully committed to providing the highest quality service possible to all stakeholders, particularly those who access our services and those who donate. This commitment is demonstrated by adhering to the highest standards of governance and quality.
The Board confirms that Mendicity is committed to the standards outlined in the 6 principals and core standards of the Charities Governance Code.
Mendicity is registered with the Charities Regulatory Authority, in compliance with the Charities Act 2009, and has adopted the Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP FRS102) for accounting and reporting by charities. We are independently audited by ITAS Accounting.
Board
The Mendicity Institution in governed by a voluntary Board of 7 members, comprised of experienced people in the fields of healthcare, law, accounting and local business. The board are responsible for establishing the organisation’s mission and values, and for establishing and approving the organisation’s strategic plan and budget. The board meets 10 times annually, and monitors performance to ensure the organisation is effective and accountable. All board members are voluntary and receive no remuneration.
